@jon_bossenger Might be worth considering. Haven't checked if it's still reproducible before this reply but I assume it is.

@jkoussertari these are the same hooks the block hooks api uses to insert blocks relative to the presence of other specific blocks, just for context.

@jkoussertari no problem! render_block would run on every block, whereas the other hooks would render at the template/content level so in theory will be more performant.

@carolinapoena @rmelogli Its only present in new stores, and only in navigation blocks that are present in the header template part which they should be free to remove (and it won't reappear). It's pretty typical for ecommerce stores to have this feature. Keen to hear why they can't remove it though.

@matt_gowdy Curious as to what you mean by final word? You can set priorities on hooks to run in a certain order regardless.

@rmelogli Speed, privacy, better environment control for debugging etc and cost. Probably the main reasons.

@burkov Yeah, but by speeding up coding I'm able to use that time to read and understand the code more which I find enjoyable. That said, LLMs don't get me all the way there, they flesh out a potential solution and I have to finish/correct it. As always, the devil is in the detail.

@JavierCasares Curious, what custom blocks are you building that require mostly JSON? Are these variations?
