idk how they did this design exactly but saving an image as jpg at a rly small size and then stretching it out after the fact would probably get the same effect. i’ve also gotten interesting results just using the lowest resolution jpg settings photoshop allows. fun to mess with

i grew up in the south around that time too & for me reclaiming it was a way of deflating its impact as an insult. it used to fuck me up but adopting it made that stop for me. not everyone feels that way though, and you’re not wrong to be hurt by it.
