This is bollocks… services exports to the EU are up for 10% since 2019. Which is impressive given that they make up the majority of our exports and we’ve had the worst pandemic in living memory and a war in Europe. Our economy is ~80% services led

I don’t recall the Japanese going and invading other nations as asylum seekers and causing trouble after their country was literally nuked by the west.
They stayed in Japan, rebuilt it and made it into one of the worlds leading economies.
