@iwaasaam I'm so disgusted by that tweet. "Paid for", even when a woman is tired and weak, the man should have sex with her. Is she a whore or a wife?? Godddddd.

@just_etin When you want to get married, look for who will stay with you without you paying her dowry.π

If you pay bride price and feel that it makes a woman your servant; then, you're a bully and not deserving of her. He who sees women as commodities would do so even if bride price was abolished! Stop hiding under this umbrella.
Before you come online and rant, ask yourself "what is the rationale behind this concept?" Do you think that this culture is obnoxious? Marital rape should be upheld but bride price should be abolished, una don try!ππ Run away!

@tee_script Exactly my point! The bride price is there to foster good relationship between 2 families, check the home the girl is moving into and it also signifies "marriage" been accepted by the 2 families.

@wole_tola Please, read to understand.π Bride price doesn't mean you're selling her, go and make research and don't jump at every convo!

@VillageParrot Thank you, Mr. SMART. When you're done, dash out your daughters and sisters. Don't go and make research about the relevance of bride price.

@dglasses_girl @thereadershut My favourite book was Mechanics of Yenagoa. I loved it because it was hilarious, exposed the hidden lives of the average Nigerian, irresponsible fatherhood and the consequences of compromising vaules. @iwaasaam @BohemianDpoet @EziomaKalu @FutureAttorney0 @AfriBenAffleck pls RT
