Lake’s Tim Orr had the highlight of the game with a three-run homer over the centerfield wall for Team American. He about dropped it in my lap and I was 15 feet past the centerfield wall. He did not get cheated on that one folks. Impressive a shot as you will see at HS level.
Recent Alliance graduate Blake Hood has won the Schorsten Memorial boys 16 to 18 age group with a two-round total of 164! Story to come later this evening
Jackson head coach Michael Biros won his 300th career game today. He is one of only 20 coaches in the history of the state with that many wins according to unofficial OHSAA records. On a personal note, Coach Biros is an outstanding person as well as an outstanding coach.
The Green boys golf team is headed to the state tournament! The Bulldogs shoot a 306 as a team to grab the third qualifying spot and advance here at Pine Hills

The girls overall results are in at the Schorsten Memorial. Lake grad Olivia Swain has done it. She shoots a 75 to hold off Hoover’s Grace May by two stokes with a 148. Swain is the first three time winner in the 51-year history of the tournament! All in a row, 2018-2020.
It's been an amazing run overall for Jackson girls soccer. The Polar Bears have won eight consecutive district titles and 22 district titles in school history.

Central Catholic soccer paid tribute and remembered junior Jacob Brown last evening. Brown passed away this weekend. A very special young man lost far too soon. Condolences to his family, friends, coaches and teammates.

The Green Bulldogs have won the Division I sectional tournament here at Tannenhauf. Green freshman Kyle Smith was medalist with a 73. Really impressive showing!
Highlight of the quarter was Breezie Williams dribbling skills breaking the ankles of her defender and sending her to the floor as Williams stepped back and hit a 3 with 23.3 seconds to go. Brought GlenOak bench to its feet

Olentangy Liberty defeats Hoover 15-11 in this state semifinal at Ashland. Great season by the Vikings comes to a close. Tremendous effort by both teams under difficult circumstances tonight.

We were informed after the game that Darryn Peterson’s grandmother passed prior to this game and his decision to play tonight came unexpectedly. Some things are bigger than sports. Condolences to his family. Incredible heart on display.

This is the first time I've been to Canton South since construction on the high school and surrounding area has been completed and I have to say everything looks terrific. These are beautiful facilities.
