@bud_chud @DoctorSevagoth @Mr_Goomantash @JuicyJuuce @grimmorphology @DrZhana In your analogy, calling a bank robber a bank robber would be like calling a child molester a child molester, whereas calling a child molester a pedophile would be like calling a bank robber a kleptomaniac. You wouldn’t call every thief a klepto; that doesn’t make sense.

@bigrell95 @REDACTEDSpider The movies have never acknowledged most of the Disney+ shows, either; does that mean they’re not canon?

@bigrell95 @TeeCeeComics @REDACTEDSpider The general audience wouldn’t even notice most of these things.

@PinkNoms @GonzoMcFonzo @DiamondSpiderP You’re confusing “Marvel Studios not wanting them to be canon” with “them not being canon”. I’d say the shows were so canon that they realized a reboot didn’t work and capitulated to making a continuation.

@captaincupkicks …which makes sense because the production team of Captain Marvel actively worked with the production team of AoS. (For example, the quadjet uses AoS’s quinjet set, redressed.) The shows were designed to be canon and nothing has ever made them not be canon.

@PinkNoms @GonzoMcFonzo @DiamondSpiderP Right. Which proves the book is not the final word because if it were the final word, they couldn’t change their mind. And they knew that, which is why they included the part that says “just because it’s not in this book doesn’t mean it’s not part of the sacred timeline.”

@M4RK5T3R_CH13F @southernstonerd @Darren_Mooney Yellow is honestly the best color his suit could be in Hell’s Kitchen.

@TEGBarryz @morgan_dfx @DiamondSpiderP The same is true in the comics. Hell, the same is true just in Daredevil comics. One day he’s fighting a guy with really long legs or a guy dressed like a frog and the next day he’s fighting rapists and assassins. The world’s a big place.

@midknightstorm1 @morgan_dfx @DiamondSpiderP Marvel Studios wasn’t involved because that’s not how the company was set up. Marvel Studios made movies, Marvel Television made tv, Marvel Comics made comics. They were all different parts of the same company. Studios wasn’t made its own company until later.

@EhMan1872 @morgan_dfx @DamsTrn Feige choosing to ignore them is not the same as them not being canon. In fact, I’d argue the movies never directly contradicting them even when given the chance to proves they’re canon. They could’ve cast different people for Jarvis, Daredevil, or Black Bolt. They didn’t.

@AmonDior @DiamondSpiderP Decanonized how? Every time they’ve had the chance to directly contradict something in a tv show, they haven’t done it. They could’ve had a different actor play Jarvis in Endgame or Black Bolt in MOM; they could’ve called Clint’s wife Bobbi or Mockingbird. They didn’t.

@PinkNoms @GonzoMcFonzo @DiamondSpiderP Yet the Netflix shows ARE canon, so that book isn’t the final word on anything.

@Jamjohns1278 @DiamondSpiderP The relationship between Marvel Television and Marvel Studios is exactly then what it is now: two names for one company handling different media. Marvel Studios wasn’t made a separate company from Marvel until after Daredevil season 2.

@Myxtoven @iAmEchoFPS You said yourself he uses his voice to fly. That only works if his voice isn’t destroying the things it’s bouncing off of to keep him aloft. Or if it does do that, he’s doing strafing runs every time he wants to get somewhere. That seems out of character.
