@lwoodhouse this is some kind of a tea party throwback that nobody wanted done even 15 years ago. nobody voted for this, insofar as it was promised, it was merely tolerated.

@RodDevere @elonmusk nobody is arguing these young men should not be allowed to write music. but what they do is destructive, not creative. they are destroying other people's work based on their very limited insight. washington institutions deserve scrutiny and reform but this is cruel and dangerous.

@stats_feed @elonmusk starting institutions is different from destroying institutions. starting institutions is based on creative ideas; destroying them is based on knowledge of what they do, which young people don't have.

@brownmp @asymmetricinfo "also had 6-8 years of education". getting into medical school is infinitely harder (and requires orders of magnitude more studying, of much more difficult subject matter, among other things) than getting accepted into some MA in education program.

@JDVance trump promised a lot of stuff (e.g. immigration, crime, trans, foreign policy, inflation....) together as a package, to be chosen against kamala's package of promises. you are soon going to see that voters, in fact, did not vote for musk's chaotic destruction of government.

@EO_Halloran @RichardHanania sure. this might go against the heatmap meme, which i am personally not very invested in, but hardly shows that "care" is unlimited. i much prefer my own meme

@EO_Halloran @RichardHanania because there are limits to attention and emotional engagement. you can only do it if your "care" means nothing. here are the authors of the study: "research suggests that people indeed do distribute empathy and mora concern in a zero-sum fashion".
