As a catcher, when you set up outside and the pitcher missees his spot and you have to reach across your body to try and stick it. That’s called a ball 8 out of 10 times. Now if he set up inside: different story.

My point exactly. If the catcher leaned with his body while sticking it, instead of reaching. May have been called a strike. Catcher has passion but got to know the situation and. Or get tossed there.

No by my logic, it’s a strike. Day and night, but I also believe in doing your job. Pitcher missed his spot and catcher didn’t sell it either. Umpires are human, it’s easy to complain about it from the stands. But umpire did a hell of job all day and was consistent both ways.

Their both quitters. Difference is one player was your all American player that got into with your coaching staff after a game then got suspended then “opted out”. The other was a role player and got benched and we never heard from him til he left the program.
