@LibDems Too right @libdemdaisy! We need to make it easier to do business so we can grow our economy and fund our public services. Obvious to everyone, but no material action from our government.

Customers will be thoroughly stuffed if this transaction goes ahead, while lenders and advisors make enormous profits.

Earlier today, I was pleased to visit Madley Brook School in Witney, where I met with staff and Year 6 pupils. It was great to see the school in full flow, and to have the opportunity to answer lots of questions that pupils had prepared for me in advance, following on from letters they had sent me. A good range of good topics came up within the Q&A Sessions such as the workings of Parliament, my life before Politics, what I want to achieve as Witney’s MP and local environment issues. I also spoke to staff about class sizing, teaching assistant (TA) support, SEND and general educational funding. I am pictured here with the school’s Deputy Head, Ms Lindsay Wakeling. Great to see @CRUK_Policy again at their #WorldCancerDay event. Detecting and diagnosing cancers earlier is vital for improving cancer survival in the UK. I look forward to tabling WQ on the subject.

Thank you to all the other @LibDems MPs who represent constituencies served by Thames Water for supporting my evidence to the High Court. We agree that allowing Thames Water to take on another £3bn of debt is not in the interests of our constituents - who will end up having to pay this off through higher household bills.

@WindrushWasp @We_OwnIt Thanks Ash! And thanks to the whole @WindrushWasp team. You've done so much to raise this issue both locally and nationally. What's best for the 16 million Thames Water customers need to factored in, rather than just sticking each of us with another £19 every month.
