I said it before the mayor election and it's already coming true.
Sadiq Khan used a tory government to hide behind his failures, as an excuse for not implementing policies or reaching targets. Using them as a shield to shout behind.
He no longer has that excuse.
Today I challenged the Mayor over Labour's refusal to remove the Two Child Benefit Cap brought in by the Tories in 2017.
His angry outburst was shocking - and he still refused to answer the question.

In the UK the people elect a "Chief NIMBY" for their local area who's sole purpose is to protest any new developments and slow down the planning process as much as possible.
Sweden elects their Church Assembly, the Netherlands elects their Water Boards. Some countries historically had presidential confirmation referendums. Many U.S. states elect offices ranging from Attorney General to Mine Inspector.

From a planning perspective a blanket grade III listing is unrealistic and will most likely result in undesired consequences.
Bluring the lines between heritage and sustainability also shouldn't be done.
