When the Ukraine/Russia gas crisis hit, the same German leaders now running for office refused to allow nuclear to restart and stay online long-term, instead just outbidding poor countries for fixed supplies of natural gas. Those countries have now learned coal is more secure.

President Trump has fired Colleen Shogan, the Archivist of the United States. Shogan led the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). NARA is the agency that referred President Trump to the Justice Department after they found classified documents in boxes he returned. Shogan was NOT Archivist at the time the referral was made.

Elegant and apposite.
Interesting situation - if the probability remains this high then we will have to make a decision on preparing a deflection mission - which would be a good investment even if (as is most likely) we don’t need to use it this time. It’s as if the Universe has decided to do an experiment to see if Planet Earth is still capable of taking rational decisions!
