I feel this in my bonesā¦my crosses are what brought me to find my Faith and I would never trade them or hide from them. I found sobriety through the love of the Blessed Mother, and I am very thankful that both of these sweet people share their stories because it strengthens me.
Not only did I live a wretched life in Hollywood before my conversion, I somewhat famously had a relapse to drug use even post conversion, shaming myself and my family in the process. I am reminded of it on a weekly basis by people who wrongly presume it's a "soft spot". I even.
