Being a priest isn't a reward, it's largely a sacrifice. Notice that most of the advocates who want women's ordination also want to abolish the sacrificial elements like celibacy because for them, it's a prize to be won, rather than a cross to be carried.

If you consistently describe Protestants as our 'separated brothers and sisters' or the rainbow crowd as the 'LGBTQ community', but any time you refer to groups like the SSPX, you can only describe them as schismatics and heretics... you might have a double-standard problem.

Q: Why are young people drawn to Latin Mass? A: Typical novus ordos, where I live, are trying to be culturally relevant and failing in that goal. Latin Mass is trying to be something other than culturally relevant and succeeding in that goal. The TLM is authentic to what it is.

Hallow's response. They are trying to lead people in prayer (which is great), but by paying an anti-Catholic actor to perform prayers that are scripted and not assented to. They aren't praying... just pray-acting. Separating matter and form like this is a big problem, I think.

I don't know if lots of people go to Hell or not, but it doesn't stretch the imagination to think of unrepentant priests who preyed upon and raped children in their parishes as being undeserving of eternal happiness in heaven.

They're not men - they haven't been initiated into adulthood - and it's because they hate themselves.

The amount of hate that 'catholic' men on here have for women astounds me sometimes.

The most important battles we face are spiritual. I'd rather see someone like St. JH Newman next to me in those trenches than someone whose claim to fame is how much he can bench.

So many skinny-fat, soft Christian men posting pics of crusaders right now... TALK IS CHEAP New minimum standards for Christian men: 1. Bench 225x10 2. Squat 300x10 3. Deadlift 400x10 4. Chin-ups bodyweight x 15 (so you don't get fat) 5. Swim for 2 miles without stopping 6.

No. It represents what happens when you disobey God who has the power to send an actual whale to swallow you and take you to where he told you to go.

Jesus famously warned his disciples that the world would hate them. If your Church finds itself fully aligned with all the tenets of the secular world, either Jesus lied, or you're not doing it right.

Simple: This logo is trying to do too much. There are too many elements competing for visual space without harmonizing/balancing each other. There are 5 main colors, which is typically too many. But to make it worse, they added gradients everywhere, increasing complexity.

For those who like to quote Canon 1373 against anyone criticizing the Pope... you know this also applies to an Ordinary, right? You may want to remember that before you go digging up & repeating any piece of gossip you can use to malign Cardinal Burke's reputation.

Michel Foucault, Jean-Paul Sartre, & Jacques Derrida signed a petition to French parliament to decriminalize sex between adults and minors below 15YO. If you recognize these names it's because they are among the leading intellectuals who have shaped the world we now live in.

There's something truly heinous about a crowd of rich people congratulating themselves for revoking the affordability of something that is needed to survive and still isn't universally affordable but will now only become further out of reach for anyone but the rich.

If you search for info about Pope Francis' brother Oscar, you discover that virtually nothing is known about him. Given the Pope's global prominence, how is that possible? Even his death is a mystery. You'd think journalists & biographers would have looked into these details.
