Most state vehicle codes allow for modifications. Some even have provisions to label the title as such.
What I’m describing would be “repairing” an old Taco that’s already titled/ registered. I’m not aware of any restrictions on where you source parts

This isn’t hard. We do it all the time for customers fleet vehicles to keep track of employees.

Air filters are easily damaged by blowing them clean from the inside out using compressed air.
Surely this compromised its integrity.
Paper filter elements are NOT designed to be reused. The restriction can be removed but its filtering ability is no longer in tact.

Can confirm. I was raised in the sticks with a rifle/ shotgun in my hands. CC since my 21st b-day.

As long as the replacement parts fit all the vehicle code guidelines it’s not my responsibility as an inspection mechanic (or a cop for that matter) to make sure it was the EXACT part that came from factory.
What matters is the VIN, registration, & title.

Even if it doesn’t completely die. The range falls off as it ages. That 150 mile range becomes 130 in real world conditions. Then as the battery ages it’s 110, 100, 90. They may serve some purposes. But I wouldn’t want to rely on one as my daily.

They look nothing like a civic but it’s inspected/ registered based on the civic VIN.
I personally own a Civic with TSX/ RSX driveline & ECU. It’s still a Civic.

I guess any law is open to interpretation but we’ve (I own a small inspection station/ repair facility) come across some highly modified vehicles & so long as the modified parts are still compliant with vehicle codes I’ve never failed one simply because it wasn’t original

I’m small business owner. My employees regularly take home a larger paycheck than I do. The reason they work harder than me and it benefits me more to over pay them to retain their talent so I don’t have to do everything myself. I tried it both ways. I found this more rewarding.

I know my case is the exception and not the rule but I was able to maintain primary custody of my daughter through the courts a few years ago.
The mother fought me for it and was just as fit as I was but judge ruled in my favor.

Those 12 year old Leaf’s don’t even get 100 miles anymore. Most of my customers that still own them are down to 50 miles maybe 70 at most on full charge due to battery life fall off.
