I’m not sure with this perspective. I was looking for something that I would run and be actively involved. I enjoyed the idea of having a playbook to follow, but didn’t find the right one for me. Also I knew I wasn’t going to like the restrictions to growth once things got going with service area and territories. But the other Brandon would be able to give you an insiders perspective. I’ve gone privately owned. Some days I wish I had a franchisor to help with, but you can find that support elsewhere

@KurtisCarman More so a fear of the unknown, franchises do a good job of answering some of the “what do I do if this happens?”

My current business kind of fell into my lap. It was the same price as a franchise, but came with customers. I looked into franchises pretty deep but didn’t like the area restrictions, or the steep fees. I think it can be the right move for the right person. I’ve just tried to recreate the support system of a franchise through people on here tho.

I was worried about this since I wanted to try something outside the corporate route when I retired from baseball. I couldn’t get myself to take out an SBA loan for something I knew nothing about. Thankfully I bought a super small turnaround business that went well. 18 months later I’m now a couple weeks from closing on the second sweeping business with an SBA loan. Buying small is a slower path but a nice way to reduce your risk and make sure you even like doing it.

@Codie_Sanchez He’s now my oldest open invoice in my accounts receivables. The narco funding must have dried up

@KrissBergTweets Ya we are good on that front. It’s a community workforce agreement which we are good on as well, but the HUD section 3 requirement is the one we might have an issue with

I like this. Going through this decision now. I’ve found a couple of used trucks on auction that should give us bandwidth going into the busy season if we get the right price. Last year was 3 trucks averaging 12 hours per days with 1 backup that was used when needed. Planning to add at least 1 soon, and another once demand makes us.

@joshkadkins @irentdumpsters To be fair it was dark when we were sweeping so easy for the driver to miss, but I woke up to a fun call from the GC
