@BFW You’re not that tuned in to Ole Miss fans, huh? 1) the AD proposed changes to tailgating rules that got everyone in their feels, 2) people still pissed about mishandling of the RB situation and offense being lame in key games

@MichaelBorkey Imagine being so butthurt over a loss that you’re still whining about it months later in the offseason

This is a textbook example of what we in the profession refer to as “Butthurt”
NEW: Alabama AD Greg Bryne suggests forfeits as a fix to field and court storming: “If we said that the home team, if they storm the field or the court, they’re going to lose the game right then and there, that will stop it.” (via @ESPN)

@drantbradley When you’re young, before you have a wife or kids is precisely the time to go do something like live in another country. There will be time for being practical later.

@realmattcarr @Peter94847717 @CWadeBaker @shanevanderhart I am much more comfortable with a pastor dealing with this. What was published and linked to by the agency was more… institutionalized, speaking for the entire denom rather than a one on one “look, I’m not a lawyer, maybe you should speak to … God’s word says …” etc

@Peter94847717 @CWadeBaker @shanevanderhart @realmattcarr The institutional Church’s job is Word/Sacraments/Discipline. And when it strays from those things that only it has authority to do, it gets in trouble.

@mkhammer And it’s absolutely not a factor. If all judges really took the “irreparable harm” factor seriously, and asked “could this be remedied later with money damages,” then there would far far fewer preliminary injunctions

@realmattcarr A denominational agency is not qualified to give legal advice. Nor is a church permitted to advise people as to how they can break the law in this circumstance. The laws in question do not implicate the church’s ability to operate within its God-given mandate.

@realmattcarr @NPWhite717 If the magistrate is usurping authority it doesn’t have by preventing the church from doing what God has commanded it to do, then public disobedience is not just permitted, but required.

@TorenBallard A bunch of taxpayers already foot the bill for government schools we don’t use. Why should we pay taxes for schools that don’t benefit our families?

@RJLockedIn If you go back and watch the back to back backs in the first quarter (their possession before the pick six?) on both plays it was his guy that got through for the sack.

@ZGroff Overstepping the boundaries of the church’s Word/sacraments/discipline mission is a good way to provoke many within and outside the church to disregard the Word when the church proclaims it.
