Update: my daughter is doing really well being out of in patient recovery. She’s living with my parents down the street from her mom currently. Goes to the clinic for outpatient treatment and group therapy everyday. Planning to go back to school in the fall. She’s feeling good.

Got to see my daughter unexpectedly today. She was given permission to leave her sober house and her mom brought her to see me as a surprise. 😭

Some additions: only likes current hype bands, never heard new breed comp, thinks moshing is spin kicks, owns zero schism shirts, broke edge after 6 months, never attend shows they aren’t fests, will not be into hardcore in 2 years

My daughter has been staying with my parents for a while to get a break from her mom. She’s staying in my old room from when I was in high school. She’s driving my old car that we gave her and parks in my old spot. She’s doing well and going to college in the fall. Comforting.

So anyway, we had a very nice weekend back in MA seeing 2 great gigs, couple good training sessions, food that I miss, and especially spending a few days with my daughter and my parents. I’m so proud of my daughter for all the fighting she does to recover.
