We have over 1.3 million Canadians of Ukrainian descent & our deputy PM is one of them. As am I. We’d better keep supporting Ukraine and we will continue to. Slava Ukraini!

May his memory be eternal 💔🇺🇦 Ukrainian National Anthem:
Ukrainian glory and the freedom,
has not yet died!
Still upon us brave brothers,
Fate shall smile!
Our enemies will vanish
Like dew in the sun;
We too shall rule
In our country.
Soul and body we will lay down

62 yr old here. Agreed. The older I get the more liberal and ‘don’t f^ck with me’ I get. A lot of us who are fortunate to have survived this long can see very clearly.

They likely told you but in case not, vyshyvanky are made to protect the wearer from evil. Red & black are traditional colours. Other colours are also used depending on the area the shirt is from. There are specific meanings for the symbols & colours. If one embroiders by hand..

And show that we brothers
Are of the Cossack nation,
Hey, hey dearest brothers
Onward take to battle
Hey, hey, time to rise,
Time to gain freedom!

..as with decorating pysanky (eggs) the maker must ensure they prepare themselves to be thinking good & pure thoughts as they sew or write the protection into the egg or clothing. It’s a beautiful tradition. Wear your vyshyvanka in good health. 🇺🇦❤️
@Pontifex
Who are you talking to? You sound like a silly old man yelling at clouds. You should shout this instead: “putin! Stop killing Ukrainians! Stop killing innocent people period! Putin you are a murderous monster!”
@Teoyaomiquu
All I think about when I see this is the pregnant, dying woman in Mariupol, & all other innocent Ukrainians who’ve died because of these stupid creatures & their genocidal leaders. Eff them.

My Ukrainian family came to 🇨🇦 (from Lviv & Kyiv areas) in the 1890s & 1900s, settling in Saskatchewan. I live in the Vancouver area. Slava Ukraini!

Chatting with my dr years ago & couldn’t think of the word for hourglass so I called it a sand clock. It’s better anyway. Also, my daughter coined some really good alternative names for things in her toddler years that I still use. A$$hole=gashold. I’m a good mom! I swear!

Just need to say I love you all. The weather change is making me feel down-it’s one of the ‘things’ like ptsd anxiety etc that plague me. But a little time bonking & reading fellas’ tweets helps. Thank you all for being the amazing humans that you are. SlavaUkraini!

Yrs ago our baby had cancer here in 🇨🇦 $15 left at end of month was a lot. Saw story about an immigrant child at St Jude’s 🇺🇸 w cancer & the parents desperately needed $ to help w accommodations in US. I sent a cheque for US 50.00. Never told anyone till now. Always pay it fwd…
@IamBohhi
I know it hurts. I’m Ukrainian/Canadian & it hurts me too, when ppl tell me Ukrainians are nazis. It’s not true. All good ppl in the world know this. If you can, focus on that. I believe the good ppl outnumber the disgusting ones. Hugs ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Lt. General Mark Hertling Love Lt Gen Mark Hertling on CNN: “I honestly believe we’re in the first chapter of a new book of American history. There are two fights going on by two of our friends, Ukraine & Israel. They need our help. In this kind of situation good people

I’m not sure. This guy yes, there was sincerity in his voice. The other guy tho, I don’t get a sincere vibe from him or his wife behind him. I could be wrong as I sometimes am, but the look on her face…she seems to be signaling something negative in her facial exp’s as he spoke.

My late mom was raised on a farm in Saskatchewan with 9 siblings. It was her job to get the laundry off the line. In winter it could get down to -40F or C. She had to get it in before it broke if a wind came up. It would literally be frozen solid. Kids these days lol.

While you’re cooling your behind in a safe uni environment, Ukrainians are dying because an illegitimate army invaded their country. There are only two sides to this and you’re on the wrong one.
@bloombeary
We have terrible people in 🇨🇦 too. Ukraine deserves to have sovereignty over your own lives, a democracy to be human in. So many of us outside Ukraine are with you. Slava Ukraini!
