He really needs to get over his glorification of WASP/German culture.

Scripture having a spiritual meaning on top of the literal meaning is different from saying that the Passion is not historical. If Jesus of Nazareth didn't resurrect, wasn't the Jewish Messiah, and wasn't God incarnate, then the Gospel is JUST a story. You become Jordan Peterson.

If Catholicism was proven untrue, it would mean to me that Christianity is untrue. If the gates of hell prevailed against the Church, then Jesus's promise was vacuous, so He wasn't God.
