@Twiz88 @O_T_Lee @Jandystl We don’t want legitimate prospects sitting on the MLB bench. Better for them to get at-bats in the minors. And I don’t think anyone in the Cards’ org can play both CF and SS AND bats right-handed. Helman ticks off some important boxes.

@valavineyards @O_T_Lee @OnlyCardsFans I’ve been mentioning for some time that the Cards could use a platoon partner for Siani (and eventually Scott) as well as a AAAA backup SS. Helman is both. The 40-man roster has 22 pitchers and now 18 position players… that’s not a good balance.

Also has 3 options left, so I bet he’ll stick in the org until 2027, but may pass thru waivers at some point.

@RedbirdFarmhand @TeelHank @tylermilliken_ @JohnDenton555 Zanetello and Blaze Jordan have opposite deficiencies. Jordan swings wildly, but doesn’t K much and may turn out to be a good hitter. But he’s a DH, 1B if we’re lucky. Zanetello is the kind of glove-first SS the org needs, but he’s clueless at the plate… I’ll take him.
