Gorman in Memphis so far:. 292/.320/.583/ .903 OPS 2 home runs, 1 double, 21% K rate. Either A) Gorman still is a legit hitter, and he's going up against lesser competition.Or B) something is seriously up with our major league coaching staff #STLCards #ForTheLou.

The comments from the BFIB are appalling. Goldschmidt provided plenty of great moments for 6 years in the city. He should be honored going out, not berated. Not to mention the fact that he was a nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award in 9 of his seasons in baseball #STLCards.
Paul Goldschmidt, a free agent at season's end, on his time with the #STLCards: "I don't know what the future is going to hold. It could be my last game here. It might not be . I've loved my time here. The organization, the teammates. I don't have a bad thing to say about it."

Jordan Walker is younger than 33 of @MLBPipeline top-100 prospects. He's younger than JJ Wetherholt (#1 organization), Tink Hence (#2), Quinn Mathews (#3), Jimmy Crooks (#5), Tekoah Roby (#6), Chase Davis (#7), Cooper Hjerpe (#8), and Michael McGreevy (#10). Let's all be.

Nolan Arenado has been one of the hardest working people in baseball since he entered the league. His frustration & apparent lack of effort are worrisome as the season nears a close. I'm not one to typically call players out, but the #STLCards need him to perform #ForTheLou.

The #STLCards lead the league in percentage of "meatballs" seen at 8.5% of pitches, but they have the lowest swing% against said pitches at just 73%. These are the pitches players have to let loose on #forthelou.

BEFORE ANYONE FREAKS OUT. Dylan Carlson's value was not high at all. He's been bad recently, and Mo couldn't do anything about that. Armstrong's 5.40 ERA looks bad, but his 3.76 FIP indicates some positive regression. 9.6 K/9 as well. Career 4.18 ERA #STLCards #ForTheLou.

Marmol has had a flawed roster all year. Has he made bad in-game decisions on occasion? Yes, but find me a manager who has A SINGLE game where you agreed with EVERY decision. This is a .500 roster with a .500 record, & that's not the manager's fault #STLCards #FortheLou.

The #STLCards have added two outside voices to be key players in player development this offseason in Matt and Rob Cerfolio. They both come from great orgs (SEA and CLE). This is great for the organization's future.
To the entire Mariners org, I just want to say thank you. There are no words to describe how special these past four years have been. It was an honor to be a part of this organization and work alongside such incredible people. Excited for the next chapter with the Cardinals.

The trade was necessary. Edman hadn't played for us for a year, and Fedde is still a legit starter. We have other "Tommy Edmans" for much cheaper. We didn't have another "Erick Fedde". Just be happy the guy is raking, and let's see what Fedde has for us in 2026 #STLCards.
Where do you stand with the Edman-Fedde trade? #STLCards.

For the first time in probably his entire tenure, #STLCards POBO John Mozeliak is not considered a top-10 (or even top-16 for that matter) executive among his peers. No playoff wins in the last half decade, a 30-year low in wins last year, and poor talent eval. #ForTheLou

Contrary to popular belief, the #STLCards aren't overusing their relievers. The issue isn't how much the relievers are used but rather when relievers are pitching. JoJo has pitched on 0 days rest 10 out of 32 times (the highest ratio). #FortheLou

Winn's 2-2 count home run tonight gives him 76 two-strike hits this year, second only to Jose Ramirez. This ties Goldschmidt (2022) & Matt Carpenter (2014) & trails only Matt Carpenter (2015, 77 & 2013, 95) in franchise history since 2008. #STLCards #ForTheLou
#STLCards rookie SS Masyn Winn jumped a 2-2 curveball and drilled it into the seats for his 15th home run of the season. The ball traveled 391 feet. It is his 150th of the season.

Best case scenarios for various key #STLCards in 2025:. Masyn Winn: continues to climb. A 4.9 bWAR season is great for a rookie. Hit that 5.0-WAR season. Lars Nootbaar: play at least 130 games with comparable production. Just be healthy. Nolan Gorman: be in the 30/30 club, that.

To all of the John Mozeliak haters: he did well here. Edman has the most value here, but he could return & have the injuries hamper him. Fedde is cheaper, has made serious changes since going to the KBO, & was probably a top-4 starter available. No prospects, either. #STLCards.

Offseason workout videos should carry minimal weight in your mind as a fan.
Nolan Arenado looks to be trying to get his bat speed back up this off-season. It was low last season (28th percentile) and here in this video it appears his speed on the BP swing is at 77 mph (Aaron Judge's 99th percentile avg bat speed is 77.2 mph)

Never in a million years should John Mozeliak consider this deal. It's laughable. Bellinger will opt out if he plays well otherwise the Cards are stuck with him. Taillon isn't a high-end starter, & the Cards lose a pitching prospect and a once top prospect. #STLCards #FortheLou

@NerdsOnTheBat What's sad is they claim defense, but their metrics are close enough there to not make up the massive chasm that is apparent offensively. No catcher should be behind the plate for 150 games, but not giving Herrera 100 back there is terrible.

John Mozeliak could get creative this offseason. He's already transformed the rotation, but it's possible he still trades for Juan Soto, Dylan Cease, or Tyler Glasnow. Yoshinobu Yamamoto could still be had. The 2024 #STLCards could be a vastly different team.

The #STLCards have been negatively affected to a lesser extent, yet ownership insists on slashing payroll to levels that haven't been seen in over a decade.
Corbin Burnes and his wife just had twins and wanted to stay home in Arizona, prompting a deal with the D-backs. It’s shocking, but also pretty awesome. The D-backs have been among the most affected by RSN uncertainty, and yet they keep going for it.
