Lewis Amaral was born over the weekend at Women & Infants Hospital, four days past his due date and a bit on the long side. A born journalist, in other words. He’s doing great and mom Kaitlyn is recovering well.

In February I wrote about Ethel Rubinstein, 101, who was very excited about getting her COVID shot so she could finally meet her newest great-grandson. Like Ethel, Jordy was born in a pandemic.

I moved to Rhode Island on the day of a PVDFest. I ate Friskie Fries, ran into a bunch of people I knew, became the tallest person at the Portuguese festival. And became, that very day, a rest-of-my-life Rhode Islander. So glad this is back.
