My niece turns 7 tomorrow and I’ve cried today, I’m having such a proud aunty moment, like how is our baby a whole 7. How is she this grown. Can’t even imagine how her mum is feeling. God is so so faithful ❤️

Last year I decided to be more intentional about attending art/ poetry events, writing and sharing my pieces and so far I’ve met the warmest people along the way. This year I’ve been more intentional about volunteering as an educator and it’s been a beautiful experience so far.

I think about how much of a blessing poetry is, a couple of words stringed together but yet has the power to do a lot to you — make you cry, hope, smile, comfort you, reassure you, all at once... grateful I can stir up emotions by simply putting pen to paper.
