It’s okay not to like a book. What’s not okay is using derogatory words on said book and the author just to communicate your displeasure. As far as I’m concerned, it speaks more about you and your character. Some of you are badly behaved!

There’s a difference between criticism and slander. In criticism, there are corresponding facts that everyone can clearly see and agree to(if need be). If you haven’t read the whole book, what is the basis of your criticism?
There is no book — no matter how profound, no matter how iconic — that hasn’t been criticised harshly. While I see the need to defend our authors and their right to write what they want, how they want, we should not go so far as to deny the value of criticism to art.

What’s your definition of good writing?
Good writing to me is based on how the book makes me feel and what the author intends for me to understand or feel. As long as that happens, I’m good. Good or bad writing is subject to you and cannot be the benchmark for a book.

By all means, we expect good books but if it doesn’t suit your palette, put it down and stick to your favorites.

Recently, I went out to buy something just outside my house. Got in and I was listening to a message only for me to hear a knock at my door…
I’m not expecting anyone so I kept asking who it was — this person was responding, “it’s me, your friend”. I was so confused
You would think that some of us are asking for this trouble with the way people are talking.
A man followed me to my house gate in broad daylight (it was 5pm). I entered keke. He drove & followed the keke TO MY HOUSE. This was after I refused to give my number.
