A reputed scholar publishes an anthology focused on aspects of India's 5,000 yr history. Table of contents lists fascinating topics. Instead of engaging on its merits, a colleague calls her #Hindtuva to try & discredit her. I've heard South Asian studies is a minefield, but OMG.
Springer just published a Handbook of Indian History. It doesn’t have a single chapter on Islam or Muslims. The word Islam appears 5 times, the word Muslim 9 times, in a 507 page book. Is this negligence or a Hindutva-zation of South Asian Studies? Either way, it’s outrageous.

What is most disappointing is that spurious allegations overlook what @civilhospamd is doing to combat #COVID19. The new 1200-bed hospital was emptied and converted into a COVID only receiving hospital. Physicians work 7-day shifts, never leaving the hospital during that time.
