India is one of the few places where Jews have never been persecuted by the majority culture. Not coincidentally, India’s Hindu majority does not proselytize. There’s a natural respect between people who do not try to convert each other, be it by force, persuasion or denigration.
Antisemites pretend to wonder why Jews are hated everywhere. Unlike the religions that Jews typically live amongst, Jews don’t seek converts. Hence Jews are always a small minority that has “rejected” the beliefs of the majority. That has always led to resentment & scapegoating.
