One problem with NIMBYism is that its proponents are basically saying crime and disfunction is not their problem if they don't have to deal with it. @squeamish @Fiskpinnaren @MTabarrok I'm from Australia not the US. And yes, I mean metro area. In Australia they're used synonymously as the 'city' officially refera only to the CBD. Again, it's difficult to judge because I don't exactly drive in peak hour in very many other cities.

@bakek_c @MandervilleM @MTabarrok Look some people like taking the train, I hate it. I actually experience suicidal ideation when I have to take a long train journey (1 hour) which I do not experience when driving even in heavy traffic

@squeamish @Fiskpinnaren @MTabarrok I don't know yet because I haven't been to all of them. I always appreciate my own city of 300k when I return home from a trip to the big city of over 5 million down the road that's for sure. But it's not perfect.
