It’s not about the party itself, it’s about the sleight and disrespect. Some folks can’t seem to grasp that, but I’ll bet they would if they were in Rob’s (or any creator) shoes. The other thing that I find incredulous is that the inclusion of “Liefeld’s Just Feet” in the movie as being enough compensation for his creation. It’s cool and fun and fitting, but that’s an inside joke that honestly most MCU fans won’t get and; beyond that, it doesn’t pay the bills. It blows my mind how easily folks will sit well with a creator being tossed scraps for their contribution (if anything at all), but will pray at the feet of Hollywood for making a movie or show about the character that wouldn’t even exist without said creator. This is, sadly, nothing new, and it needs to change. Fair compensation, due respect, proper attribution. No creator is asking for anything more than that.

@lucas_legacy @robertliefeld I’d love to see how that would’ve played out in an alternate timeline. It was a real blow when Fox was bought as we lost a tremendous partner.

As EIC of JoBlo, working with Fox was an absolute dream. They were the best studio I ever worked with (followed by WB during my tenure). They treated us with respect and were smart and fun to collaborate with. They also had some of the best people working there whom I still respect to this day.
