You have to be careful who you’re holding the door for. Anti-semites and Anti-Muslim trash cannot enter mainstream conversation without help. Imprecise, sloppy criticism of the Israel/Palestine conflict is a door left slightly ajar, and they will follow you in.
There is no excuse for antisemitism. Ever. If you have to ask yourself if what you're saying is antisemitic, it's time to step back and reevaluate your approach. This doesn't mean pointed criticism of the Israeli gov't = antisemitism. It does mean nuance is critical.
