In the video, Bisan finds dozens of USA labeled shells among the rubble. I visually verified through research the labels on the casings do indeed indicate they contained U.S. manufactured toxic weapons the Israeli forces used to destroy the buildings.
@wizardbisan
finds devastation on an almost unimaginable scale when she returns to Khan Younis.
As more than 80% of buildings have been destroyed, she spends time with the Palestinians who are trying to make homes among used bullet casings and bomb shells.
Producing this latest Bisan report of destruction from Khan Younis, I found myself repeating the same sentiment as
@wizardbisan
says in the video: “this cannot be real.” Truly post-apocalyptic.
My latest reporting on how so many immigrants, including Asian Americans, have almost no choice but to living in dangerous, illegal basement apartments.
Basement apartments in New York City turned into death traps during Hurricane Ida, filling with water in minutes.
Yet immigrants are forced to live underground, despite unsafe conditions, due to a lack of affordable housing in the city.
As an Asian living in the U.S., I couldn't ignore the rise of violence against the AAPI community that breaks my heart. Too often, Asian voices are not amplified in the media but it's time that changed.

He is one of the latest victims of a spike of attacks against Asian Americans.
I'm not surprised Cop City activists have been arrested for "domestic terrorism."
Atlanta's politicians openly told me in an interview here since September they were investigating forest defenders as domestic terrorists.

I interviewed student journalists at Columbia who have tirelessly covered the movement on campus since day ONE. Hear what they say mainstream media is missing in their coverage:
Student journalists at Columbia University were either locked inside buildings or faced arrest during the police raid on Hamilton Hall on April 30.
Meanwhile, select Western media outlets were allowed on campus.
The meeting has embarked and it’s one busy room here in the international media center. There are around 3,000 journalists from all around the world to cover the summit

"Parasite" made history sweeping the

The movie is centered on a fictional family who lives in a semi-basement unit. But living in an underground home is a reality for many people in South Korea.

Congrats to my country, the Republic of Korea, for its 73rd Liberation Day. A day to appreciate the freedom and strength we’ve built in a rather short time while realizing there still remains more to be done. Missing this busy city a little extra today! (Enjoy my timelapse☺️)
Fell in love with AAJA at my first conference in Houston. So glad to have met many old and new mentors and colleagues. Every individual however old or experienced has been so inspirational. It’s reassuring to know there’s a tight-knit community of Asian journalists out there!
I am so impressed by how Korea is handling coronavirus. Every day people born on years ending in select digits are allowed to purchase just two masks. And your ID number is put into a system so one person cant purchase more at another pharmacy. Today was my turn yay!
Like everything, these protests and news will eventually pass. But I pray that anti-racism won’t be a phase. From now on, I hope anti-racism will slowly become our new reality and eventually embedded in our institutions
The real heroes rn are people like Brandon Tsay who wrestled the gunman, those supporting victims' families and anyone providing mental health or emotional check ins to those affected by the news

Can you believe THIS is what it looks like to clear out protesters to construct a police training facility in the name of "public safety?"
They've deployed SWAT teams and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations troopers.
Really cared about making this story and highlighting intl student voices. I myself was an international student for five years in the U.S. and I can't imagine living under the threat of getting deported when all you want to do is focus on your studies and life in America.

For years, I had heard from interviewing many North Korean defectors that Yeonmi's accounts were fabricated and problematic. She understood what an intl audience wanted and exploited the attention.
I just hope her story doesn't deter ppl from other defectors' authentic stories.
North Korean defector Yeonmi Park has become a podcast star, with appearances on Joe Rogan and Tim Pool.
But her stories about North Koreans physically pushing trains and being executed for having dusty portraits of Kim Jong Il often don't make sense.
You can watch my comprehensive report inside the movement to decide for yourself. The movement is definitely not entirely peaceful. I myself have witnessed defenders vandalize vehicles.
But are they "terrorists" for mostly building blockades and building tree houses?

It's been 10 years since the Sewol ferry tragedy -- a man-made disaster. I'm thinking of the 250 high school students who died. They would've been adults now perhaps pursuing their dreams.

"Minari" won Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes — but critics say its category makes no sense.
The film, about a Korean American family in Arkansas, was produced and financed in the U.S.
It was put into the category because less than half of it was in English.
