May 18th, 2024, was an incredibly special day.

Nicely put. I’m a UK born entrepreneur who has been living in London for 10 years. Leaving for Dubai to seek safer streets, lower tax, sunshine and to get away from the declining / depressed UK.

Lol. Stay strong. They will forget about you in a few days time (not trying to be rude, but that is usually the reality, and maybe a driving force as to why you are leaving)

This is one of the best examples of completely losing it mentally on a tennis court. The guy is insanely talented and was two points away from the second week at Wimbledon. And he did this.
@stillgray
I have spent over a week in Brussels. I am still here. I can confirm the city feels and looks like a third world country. It is a total dump.
Arriving in Hobart shortly to support the team. Looking forward to meeting with all stakeholders over the next few days. Let’s learn and make things happen 💪🏾🚀

In 2007, my Mum and I made a random decision to turn up at Glasgow Airport to catch a glimpse of the Indian team.

Over the past 6 months, Mr Sheikh and Mr Anwar have harassed me, mocked me publicly, and tried to influence my decision-making through emotional blackmail.
Given they congratulated me when I was appointed, it does not make sense to most people. Why did they change their view

A small group use media contacts to push for a pathetic report that almost bankrupts Cricket Scotland. They get headlines and fame, then some move on to new careers, while the falsely accused are left with ruined lives. This is grossly unfair—they should be held accountable.

It is totally brutal. This is why some players get to the tour, win a few tournaments, make a few million and then retire.
@realEstateTrent
For sure. Especially luxury hotels. The prices in Europe have gone completely bonkers. Has priced a lot of people out. Occupancy is down but margins higher as they need less staff to service a fewer amount of guests.
@alexfmac
I’m leaving for Dubai for a few years, and then hopefully the US after that to settle.
Safety and Mindset / culture is also a big factor. I believe the UK is largely anti-success (of course there are exceptions, but generally it does not incentivize people to be ultra
I challenged Mr Anwar for the first time publicly in 6 months yesterday. This is his response. This is far from the inclusive environment he protests for.
This is typical behaviour of a bully. He is not open to anyone's views other than his and his supporters.

An intense day. Just the way it should be during tough times. Have been in media, and on calls since 8am. The tie is off and I’m flying back to London. Will continue getting smart over w/e. Back to Edinburgh on Monday for board recruitment. Thank you for the support.
Agreed. This is because there is not a single marketing resource. Complete lack of investment / understanding of content. For this tour, the team have put together a plan today to get more content out. Not perfect, but better. Please engage with it 🙏😃. 2023 will be different.
Nice to see

Have to try and locate the 1 tweet they’ve put out and read an article just to get the starting XI. 🤦♂️

will offer paid contracts to our female athletes. Whilst this is a huge step forward, we are still far away from where we want to be. Working on a new, top-to-bottom organisational plan. A lot more to come.
NEWS UPDATE: We are today announcing significant changes in strategy that will underpin long-term success for our international teams and deliver a more sustainable governing body in the years ahead ➡️

I see people earning £40k yet they are driving a Porsche Cayenne (on finance of course) and have a huge mortgage.
Completely levered up, on the treadmill for life, no savings. Very dangerous way to live.

He was completely out of it until the second set tiebreak. Debut Wimbledon and he is in the Quarters. Also, seem's like an amazing and charismatic personality. Big fan.
Completely humbled by the level of support offered. Thank you. There are so many amazing people willing to help rebuild

Hurdles?
- In a matter of weeks Cricket Scotland will not have a single C-Suite executive
- There are two volunteers on the Board and no Chair
- The internal team is disgruntled and demotivated by the constant public bashing of their progress and high turnover at the C-Suite
@TennisTV
@andy_murray
The general public in the UK know him for his Wimbledon wins.
But for a die hard fan like myself, watching him win so many other tournaments was also incredibly fun and inspiring.
Especially in the era that he was playing in.

Tragic. Very few people will realise how hard she has worked throughout her life to get where she got to and the sacrifices she made. For it to be cut short at 27 is a real tragedy. I wish her all the best in her next endeavour.
Thank you
@MajidHaq
. Everything you and many others have been through is completely unacceptable. It should never have happened. It is time to raise the intensity and make positive things happen. Looking forward to working with you and all stakeholders to rebuild.
Brilliant news to see someone of the calibre of

Seriously well done to the people at the Grange for sticking by you publicly, when it must have FELT like the whole world was against you. One thing I have learned is that very few people will publicly go against the grain, so kudos to whoever was making the decisions.
Thank you. The ICC wrote to me with a formal letter of support following my chair update (which the lobby group hammered). They recognised the good progress that the team had made over the past 6 months.
Things were starting to stabilise but the lobby group, individuals
@anjan_luthra
Anjan - we’ve never spoken but thank you for trying to navigate your way through this kaleidoscope of conflict which threatens the very survival of cricket in Scotland.
100+ meetings in 6 months is a demonstration of engagement. I know you and your clients would have liked all meetings to be with you and the lobby group, but that is not how the world works.
You can continue to bully and manipulate sportscotland into making decisions. But I will
Thanks

I was lucky to be at the MCG last year for India vs Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.
I was joined by 90,292 others. It was the loudest sporting arena I have ever been in.
Incredible experience, and it was an awesome game too. King Kohli to the rescue.
Cricket Scotland Chair Anjan Luthra made the following address to the Scottish Parliament’s Health, Social Care and Sport Committee, earlier today at Holyrood.
I fundamentally disagree with the way sportscotland is operating the sport. I believe their priority is to meet the demands of a lobby group and a handful of individuals associated with them - even if that means the wider sport and community will be negatively impacted.
This is a disaster for any stakeholder involved in Scottish cricket - other than the lobby group and the individuals connected to it.
I apologise to the wider cricketing community for failing to stop them from driving the sport into the ground. I tried, but I failed.

This is exactly why as a Board, we believed in fairness for all. As time went on, it became clear there was another side to the story.
I was adamant to listen to all sides. This was something that the accusers could not understand, and instead they vilified and harassed me.

Thank you very much. I feel bad for the team who have worked so hard, and Scottish cricketers. Fairness for all is my core value. It was being compromised. I can't stand for that.

Many states in India are willing to play Associate nations and the level is pretty high. Even the IPL teams are keen. We were in the middle of arranging this for Cricket Scotland. Happy to help you guys.
To really make it the most inclusive sport in the country, you have to fix all the problems and build the company holistically. You can't change culture by throwing some money at it and only listening to a few individuals' demands. You have to build sustainably and improve

Sort out your own governance before ruining Cricket in Scotland. The woke agenda is driven by a handful of people that feel invincible due to a report that legitimises them.
In their mind, anyone that questions them is a racist of some sort. This drives fear of voicing opinions
Have been in touch with the team throughout the weekend getting up to speed. Looking forward to kicking off interviews for the board tomorrow in Edinburgh.

This is sad. I have seen some people laugh at the fact she was in tears. What they don’t understand is how hard she has worked in her life to get to that stage. And it was ended due to a freak injury. Real shame. Hope she bounces back.
