If this is correct, I am disappointed. I rather respect Tom Shakespeare, even though I entirely disagree with him on this particular issue. He's every right to be connected to DiD but he should declare it where relevant ( as e.g. here).
Dignity in Dyingโs annual reports reveal a key tactic - establishing groups like โDisabled Activists for DiDโ. Turns out oral witness Dr Tom Shakespeare was a โdistinguished supporterโ. His relationship with DiD was not disclosed. That part of DiD website now deleted 1/

Even if one is online ( as I obvs am) I don't buy the ' for your convenience ' lime. Sometimes it is more convenient: too often it's about getting us to do things they used to do for us.
Digitalisation is โfor your convenience.โ - try explaining that to the 3 million+ people who are not online in the UK. The majority (67%) are aged 70 or over.ย The digitalisation of everything is creating digital exclusion for millions of people - in particular, the elderly.

'thy Church * and household*' - a wonderfully relational term.
"Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye".

@JeremySparkes @PictureSporting Jacob Rees Mogg used to play cricket in a cap (Eton colours, maybe?- blue and black) that made him look even more like Cuthbert Cringeworthy than ever.

@therealsjpf @E_N_O @meenamtj Saw it on Tuesday ( apparently the King was there too!) and it was * wonderful*. State of constant laughter bubbling under, esp in the second half. A delight.
