Here in Dublin, chatting to a vet the other day. The vet refused to euthanise a 4 year old springer spaniel when it’s owner said it was no longer useful as a gun-dog (injured leg). Instead the vet adopted the dog. 👍🏻

The Garda was not being informative. He was misquoting legislation, he was threatening arrest for something (“to cause offence”) that isn’t an offence as per the legislation he quoted. He attempted to direct a man away from a public place when he had no power to do so.

Probably a delivery guy working for the fast food ‘restaurant’. This in itself raises the question whether or not his vehicle insurance covers ‘business’ use. If not , then like most drivers using their private vehicle to deliver , he’s possibly not insured.

There’s also quite a few vehicles displaying expired tax discs and NCT discs parked on James’s Terrace, Malahide. Some not taxed for almost 3 years. Different laws applying to different members of the public depending on their employer perhaps ? 🧐

‘Multiple Offences’ detected among SPSV drivers. How people feel safe travelling in taxis is beyond me. So many with backgrounds unknown to the Garda Vetting office. Foreign documents can be forged. Multiple identities. Then there’s this >>

While I commend ‘Road’s policing’ for stopping an uninsured driver, this is a ‘Fish in a barrel’ roadway. A 60km/h zone leading to the M1. It contributes little to road safety. Speed checks within housing estates are what’s required.
