Trooping the Colour being on tomorrow made me realise that it’s 10 years since I got to perform on Horse Guards Parade as part of the Household Division Beating Retreat. I never expected to get this opportunity, but it turned out to be one of my favourite events to do!

This tune, called The Crags of Tumbledown, was composed by the Pipe Major of the 2nd Bn. Scots Guards on the back of his ration pack while still atop the mountain after successfully capturing it from the Argentinian forces.

I’ve never seen a Member of Parliament disrespect the traditions and standards of the House of Commons as much as Clive Lewis has these past few weeks.
If you’re not willing to respect the customs, standards, and traditions of the House, then don’t stand for Parliament. Simple.
Clive Lewis MP, who had to retake his oath, now pictured sitting in the House of Commons like a teenage yob on the back of the school bus and not a parliamentarian in one of the most important democratic chambers the world has ever known.
