As we look to the inauguration of President @realDonaldTrump, I told @bbclaurak how I’ve written to him inviting him to Teesside. We have a great partnership, great US businesses here in Teesside… and some great golf courses ⛳️ . It would be fantastic to host the President. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Cleveland Police has been rated 'inadequate' at investigating child abuse by the police watchdog. Middlesbrough, in the Cleveland force area, is among the dozens of towns across England where grooming gangs have abused and trafficked children.

This is appalling, and raises serious questions again for the leadership of Cleveland Police. Up and down the country we are seeing victims of abuse being failed. This furthers the case for a national inquiry into grooming gangs, and we need it now!.
