at a high level, it's bc seemingly innocuous questions like what is a "dex swap" or an "nft collection" are up for debate. @DefiLlama, @flipsidecrypto, @DuneAnalytics each have diff takes. in our own data, we monitor several interpretations but there are no universal definitions.

tron has the highest amount of users of any EVM chain. interestingly, if you look at the on-chain data, you'll find that tron users behave very differently from other chains -- erc20 token transfers are much more frequent than nft activity, dex trades, even native token transfers

yes it's hard to get prices for nft mints bc most collections use custom price logic, but after 30+ iterations we've covered ~80% of collections with >$100k traded volume. using erc20/native transfers, parsing specific platforms like zora, and some dilligence can go a long way 🧑🌾
it's insane how hard it is to obtain info on past NFT mints, literally having to dig into etherscan and read contracts just to find out the price at which some NFTs minted.

we've been recording all of the reorg activity we've encountered when querying rpc nodes close to the tip of the chain and there's been way more reorgs than baseline measurements from last week. these are the number of reorgs we've experienced for the last 10,000 blocks
Fun fact: the Polygon chain has had 25 "forked blocks" in the last 24 hrs, which are excluded blocks as a result of chain reorganisations. Interestingly, the average "ReorgDepth" is ~6-7 blocks deep. Here is where you can see this data:.

after removing defi mints (like uni v3 positions) and suspicious collections with <100k traded volume, we got 6.6k collections and 6bn in total USD volume. nice to see how spaced out the top mints are in terms of the initial mint dates. (downloadable csv below)
hmmmm, im running queries on how much money was spent in NFT mints and, with incomplete data (script still running, missing 70%) I'm already getting >2bn USD spent.

The beacon chain stopped finalizing about thirty minutes ago. I don't know why yet, but in general the chain is designed to be resilient against this, transactions will continue as usual and finalization will kick in when the problem is resolved.

@sourcex44 To answer technically:. Not everything is emitted and not everything emitted is correct. So you are often combining logs, events, and traces to then parse out how to logically think of a tx. Massive amounts of interpretability decisions to be added to the workflow as well.
