As an alum who is now an STL educator, I can’t describe how incredibly disappointed I am in this decision.
There is a citywide moratorium on charter schools right now. SLPS is hemorrhaging students as it is. It is asinine to try to open yet another.

Kairos admin padding their wallets? Pay close attention to Kairos’ $4115 per student expenditure. Additionally, pay attention to the transportation cost per student. SLPS pays $1025/student while Kairos pays $18/student. Charter schools aren’t public schools.
This shows the difference in per student spending on executive and building administration. This is one of my big worries. We are duplicating efforts so much and wasting so much money! SLPS spends $1232/student, City Garden is at $2,817, and Kairos is at $4,115.
