@thethrill57 @BenVerlander The price of tickets and concessions (especially concession) are determined by market forces, not player salaries.

@Friar4thePadres @PadresFanTakes Go look back at discussions last year. Merrill and Profar weren't future all-stars, the Dodgers signed Shohei, and the Padres weren't spending any more money. Feels exactly the same this year. Every team that doesn't have unlimited money has to rely on big surprise years to win

@fuzzyfromyt I don't consider it disrespectful to average less than 300 PA over 4 years and still be considered a top 40 player. One 140 game season, and he's back in the top 5

@TheRealHos305 He's hurt every year. The best ability is availability. One full year, and he's back in the top 5.

@TalkinBaseball_ Did he happen to injure his hip on the first day of workouts, or has he been carrying the hip injury and just scheduled the surgery to avoid playing baseball?

@houstonfan4life @TalkinBaseball_ They usually get insurance which covers a portion. Washington "saved money" by not getting insurance on Strasburg. Everyone else should have learned from that.

@atrupar The problem comes when the incorrect thing spreads around fast and loud and drowns out the correction. That's now misinformation works.

@jonschaeffer I meant to say, "They're way too good to play as bad as they do in the first half of games. Imagine them not sucking for half of every game"

@BowTiedRanger This is mostly for show and require chemical maintenance. There are men who are stronger and more dangerous with much less bulk and future health issues.

@matt_gottshall My dad did this his whole life. All of his money tied up in houses that he spent his free time maintaining and trying to keep rented. A good portion of it lost in 2008.

@emzanotti About 65% of births don't need any intervention and can happen at home. Might need someone who can stitch wounds on hand. The other 35% are why you do it in a hospital so neither mother nor baby die needlessly from a complication no one can see coming.
