Honestly we're just more honest with time stamps; it takes a radar station up to 10 minutes to do a full 360 sweep of its area, we just choose not to fudge the times. We pull the radar radials in a live stream directly from the radar network, process it in real time on our own

I have had electric cars since 2015, my electric bill is another $30-$40 a month at best. It’s faster, I have never had a maintenance or oil change bill or any other fluid change bill, for that matter, and I’ve never had to replace brakes. You’re being misled.

Why do you say that? We wrote all of our own software, including the software that processes all the raw radar data and then displays it to users in the app. We also have our own AI algorithms that predict rain down to the minute to let us notify users, among a ton of other stuff

We have a feature that lets users upload weather photos, if they choose. You have to opt into it, we can’t/don’t do it without your permission or consent first. If you don’t want to upload photos then we won’t have access to your photos :)

Yeah, Apple and Google don't share ID's with each other, and we don't have access to ID's (our app has no way of identifying you) so there's no way to know you had a new device. If you DM me a copy of your original receipt with Google I'll get you set up on the iPhone.

They gave people free access to play with it at will with a really simple interface; users had great experiences with it and told their friends about it, and as a result, it blew up. Whatever the particulars, that hasn’t seemed to happen with other similar services the same way.

It's possible that the rain was what they call "verga", that's rain that falls from the clouds but evaporates before it hits the ground. The radar will trigger our algorithms to tell you about it - but once it nears the ground, its out of range of the station...
