Other end of the age spectrum, a preschooler who refused to engage. Sat with her for a bit —found out her favorite color was black, & once we started engaging with her in a way that wasn’t sunshine & lollipops, she did great. One size fits all is good for no one at any age.

Her job was to be with that child while on the bus to monitor for exactly that situation & to address it immediately if it happened —literally her only job. That was an avoidable tragedy, & this case needs to be used to get people to take this job seriously. That’s awful.
