Look, I am literally at work and not going to spend my afternoon arguing about assisted dying, but my main point is that nobody should feel that they want to die, and it's both easier and more morally correct to improve the conditions people live in than to kill them.

This is intrinsically linked to disability rights. We are all likely to become disabled in some way at some point in our lives. At the moment, life is hellishly difficult for disabled people and their families, and only getting harder. We need proper care, not easy death.

I know this is a joke, but I cannot tell you how much having Blue Peter badges changed our childhoods. Because us three children got in free to attractions, we went to so many we would never have been to otherwise. It was so great.
