Thanks for highlighting our work in @JAMANetworkOpen. Despite significant advances in treatment, we showed that there has been minimal improvement in mortality for heart failure. There remains significant room to improve the longitudinal care of these patients.

@WCM_CVRI @lab_cao Thanks for inviting me! One note: we actually found similiar trends between HFrEF and HFpEF patients, but there was a slightly larger reduction for HFpEF patients in the acute period. Key point is that improvements in mortality overall have stalled in the post-discharge periods.
