Spoiler: probably not. At least here in Washington State, patient outcomes are worse at low volume programs that are prohibited from doing PCI for stable CAD, and geographic access isn't much improved.
Certificate of Need regulations fail to enforce PCI volume standards in Washington State. Is there a role for the low-volume, acute-access cath lab? #AHAJournals

A shocking but unfortunately not surprising report about medical debt. I wonder how many of these 100 million were pushed into debt by cardiac testing and procedures? Does anyone discuss out-of-pocket costs with their patients before recommending a cath?
🧵 More than 100 million Americans, including 41% of adults, are plagued by a health care system that drives people into debt to pay for their care. An investigation by @KHNews and NPR shows the problem is far more pervasive than previously reported.

@FabioLimaMD @agtruesdell @KateKearney4 @SVRaoMD Yes! We didn't talk enough about teams in our paper. In a team sport, each team member improves individually and collectively.

I've been lucky to have great clinical mentors, but so many people don't have that peer support in their hospital or clinical group. There are opportunities for learners (all of us) to seek better feedback and for leaders to put their junior colleagues in a position to succeed.

First tweet! Excited I can use it to highlight our study on patient preferences for CAD treatment. Many thanks to the patients and docs who participated. @manesh_patelMD @schuyler_jones @CircOutcomes
