@Blue_Pie_Ninja I hope when it is open they actually call the road the Ring Road and not Nort East Link. They can name the tunnel the North East Tunnel I guess but the road is just an extension of the M80 Ring Road.

@KosSamaras There is greater benefit to more people by doing SRL East first. It will connect more railway lines in the south, south east and east because way more people live in the east and southeast than the west.

@h_j_sinclair It's not the only reason, elections are complex, but it's likely to be part of the reason you lost. You needed to increase your primary vote in the absence of a Labor candidate but couldn't. Perceived lack of any policy outside of Gaza may have stopped people voting for you.

@6NewsAU For the Greens vote to remain unchanged with Labor not running is a warning bell. At least some of the Labor voters would have voted for the Greens, but if Labor was running would have voted for them. So if it were a general election their vote would've gone down.

@NotTurnbull @yuanlintech I'd like to think the Greens voters love the Labor party but in reality they just hate the Liberal party.

@NotTurnbull @yuanlintech Labor are just as loyal at general elections, just not at byelections where Labor doesn't hold the seat, isn't running and already has a huge majority.

@h_j_sinclair I don't disagree that they have a vast array of other areas they talk about, but it is up to them to make the voters hear them, and the results suggest they are not hearing them.

@h_j_sinclair Plenty of people care, but is it a vote changer? All the evidence thus far suggests not. Voters want policies that can improve their lives. I am aware that the Greens have plenty of other policies but the average voter seems to have seen them as focusing on nothing else.

@BrianH891 @LaDolceVita_99 @RDNS_TAI Labor voters didn't show up to vote. The Greens needed their preferences last time. Why would a Labor voter care when Labor already has a majority.

@AntonyGreenElec You mention a tiny number of absent votes? Is this people enrolled in Prahran voting at a polling booth in Werribee and vice versa?

@AntonyGreenElec @Joel_Huz Is turnout nornally lower at byelections where one of the major parties isn't running? Perhaps some Labor voters would rather pay a small fine than vote for someone other than Labor.

@Strongisgentle @AntonyGreenElec Those who voted informally last time didn't show up to vote at all this time. Turnout is down.
