There is an emerging pattern of vigilantism around potential direct provision accommodation sites in the North-West. In the last week vigilante patrols have been conducted in Buncrana in Donegal. Last night vigilanties were out in numbers in Dromahair in north Leitrim.

A great show of solidarity in Leitrim for the open letter penned by
@leitrim4all
to have over 175 signatures. These signatures come from people from all over the county and from all walks of life. I’m proud to have my name amongst these people who openly welcome asylum seekers.
We’re proud that our open letter has gathered more than 170 signatures.
This signals strong support for the acceptance and inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers in Leitrim. Now more than ever we must all come together in solidarity✊

Ireland is a country that prides ourselves on being a champion of the SDG’s. SDG 4 ‘Quality Education’ calls for equal access to tertiary level education.
There is no equal access to education in Ireland. This motion hopes to start bridging that gap.

It was very special to welcome so many people to Drumshanbo, the town that I spent so much time in growing up.
This was a great week with particular note to our engagement with the local area through a walking tour of the town and a visit to a local eco-farm.

Every time…
Due to the recent adverse weather on the 14 & 15 July, we have now placed “Do Not Swim” signs at Blackrock, Seapoint, Sandycove & the 40ft. Water samples have been taken for analysis and results are expected by 18 July.
