India has now vaccinated (at least one dose) 30 New Zealands. ~ 10% of the population is now vaccinated at least once. Appears that doses are flowing in better. As manufacture ramps up, hope rate will also ramp. Vaccinating one New Zealand a day may not be a bad target 4 India.

Presented space bricks at a recent conference and got probably the best compliment I could ask for. A young student said that it never occurred to her tht someone can even think like this. Made my day 🙂🙂 @thebetterindia also featured our space bricks 👇

Extremely glad to note the release of our COVID19 Medical Inventory Projections dashboard. The dashboard provides projections down to the district-level about important medical requirements such as PPEs, ventilators, oxygen, masks. Data can be used by public and admins alike.

Contrary to insunations of a certain political group, Haryana has done much better on parali fires than its neighbour. This data is available of free-of-cost and is publicly accessible. BTW, 500 kms is not even a day's work for wind.

Raghuram Rajan is an excellent example of what can happen to an academic when he/she becomes a pure political hack. Contrary to the 'wisdom' he is dishing out, as India grows it needs more and more of its manufacturing sectors to grow. What is there is certainly not enuf....

Rahul Gandhi is either completely dumb or comfortably numb when he peddles this Leftist semantic drivel that India is not a nation. India has been described as a nation multiple times in our Constitution, most prominently in our Preamble itself & under our Fundamental duties.

In this article, I discuss how heritage remains an inspiration and how it can help innovate for tomorrow. Lot of missed opportunities, but we can regain. Example - When u visit temples (ancient) take some time to marvel at the civil engg:

Satellite data on fires in India at the moment (last 24 hours data). As we can clearly see a "remote" part of India seems to be entirely lit ! BTW, the real culprit is Diwali, which has not happened yet. Data from NASA-FIRMS

that he/she was sure of himself/herself when raising a red flag. & Remembered IISc very fondly. I know people in India sometimes think very highly of outside institutions, but Indian institutions also excel in many ways. We need to invest & help this pursuit of excellence n/n

Prof. Roddam Narasimha, was a giant in both his impact on S&T as well as on understanding Indic thought. One of his last projects was the translation of Yoga Vasistha. A work that had to be published posthomusly. If you want to read a balanced scientific unravelling of ancient..

I hope that infrastructure built during covid time will become a permanent addition to the Nation's healthcare portfolio. That itself will be a huge impetus to healthcare in many places.

Chankaya was an impressive & well researched serial. Now have new found appreciation; the headgear actually was designed to mimic turbans shown in ancient sculptures ! Left a still from the serial. Right a dwarapala at Pitalgarhi caves (dating 2nd century BC I believe?).
