I don't think you can conclude that software devs are safe if they're doing hard work, because AI will be increasingly capable of complex work.

@vaxryy @bee_fumo Most compatibility / portability concerns are temporary though right? Eventually the gcc Rust frontend will be complete, and that should address a lot of these concerns. I don't enjoy writing Rust, but it seems like where the ball is headed. 40% of vulnerabilities is too much.

@CallMeTasteless Google's Gemini just released an update, maybe it can now do this. Failing that, I'd say to keep using ChatGPT while also running another AI to transcribe your conversation. The transcription is going to be a bit delayed, but it will work.

The point of civilization having an impact on evolution can be true, but myopia isn't an example -- it's far too rapid and dramatic a change.
