lah doesn't care about keeping his characters "on-model" or giving them believable solidity. he turns them into preposterous, fanciful cartoon entities--which works great here! tom's abject terror and subsequent beatdown might be horrific in more literal hands, but not with lah

@Bill_CartoonGuy @taka_heart also, an interesting note about "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse"--Ray Patterson and Pete Burness do uncredited animation in some of the early scenes! (they had left the studio during this film's production and therefore given no credit due to common 1940s animation studio policy)
