@VelonCC @dnlbenson Who could have thought. He was just having a great training ride in northern France.

@hpfounder @FitFounder "According to the scientific evidence, the number of calories burned by 1 pound of muscle at rest is approximately 6 calories per day, a far cry from the often touted 50 calories." Do both, strength training and cardio. Period.

@laflammerouge16 I like this guy. He embodies a healthier area of cycling having top level athletes weighing more than 60kg.

@cycloben2 Hey Bence. I don't get it either. Why cutting out entire stages which are "dangerous" and having each finish line after a descent instead.

@DavidDack Unfortunately I don't have talent as a runner. But I have to confess: it always gives me a better feeling after finishing a workout than cycling. I'm hyped and happy for 10 hours in a row ... damn maybe I have to cross-train.

I fully understand. You’ve spent decades building this body and performance—why stop now? Retiring while you’ve still got years left in the tank? Nonsense! Just look at ex-world tour riders crushing it in gravel racing. The ride never ends.

@MedBonnevie Great read, Martin! The moment I realized there's a stress:recovery balance, aka load management, I started making gains again. Also, dialing back on training when other things take priority and sticking to a minimal approach is key for age group athletes and amateurs.
