I think what really flew over over our head is that the archons aren't the real power in Teyvat. They're meant to be seen as gods by the people, sure, but they're not the top of the food chain, they're just glorified supernatural beings there to keep humans in line.

Naw, best ending is hands down the one from the musical. Light still wins because of supernatural advantages (Rem) and L still dies, but Ryuk kills him immediately after because the fun part was over and he didn't feel like watching Light write for years with nothing happening.

Jeht and Dunyarzad are like the only decently written ones here to me. We barely see Chizuru, she randomly dies off with no emotional prep or build up, I laughed in disbelief. Rana was asleep, what writing? Idyia was all over the place, insecure then cocky then insecure again.

It WAS the best, the most concise and coherent one. The Kara and Alice one had the most awkward plot twist ever with the most plot holes, and I've heard the Marcus one came off as tone deaf and preachy to a lot of people, even though it's arguably the most central conflict.

So what, as long as they're not hurting anyone, it's fine. I've seen people ship fkn Zhongli with Kaeya or Diluc with Thoma, Cynonari at least interact. You really don't need much canon excuses as long as you have a creative imagination of the characters' potential interactions.
